The phenomenon of mirror image has always fascinated artists and made them reflect on the reflection of reality. This issue is also close to Agnieszka Zabrodzka, whose paintings are landscapes with the motif of water. The flat surface of the mirror of a lake, pond or river reflecting the landscape, creates new worlds, gives the possibility to include in the painting reality of its own repetition. A peculiar paradox is created: a mirror or water - these are flat surfaces reflecting the world, which have obligations in time to reality, as opposed to a painting, which has no such obligations. The mirror is an old, meaningful, ambiguous motif in art, and its symbolism is incredibly rich.
