Giovanni Battista was an Italian watercolorist, known primarily for his landscapes of southern Italy, particularly Naples, Capri, and the surrounding areas. His technique relied primarily on watercolor and gouache, which allowed him to achieve the soft tonal transitions and luminosity characteristic of Italian landscapes.
