K. Przezdziecki (1846-1896) - "art historian, owner of a library still transferred by his father Alexander from Czarny Ostrów to Warsaw. In 1880 he inherited the valuable library of Konstanty Tyzenhauz in Postawy (Vilnius province), and in 1885 he purchased the correspondence of Joachim Lelewel (now in the Jagiellonian Library) from the antique shop of Jan K. Gieysztor.
He expanded the Ordinary Library in Warsaw at Foksal Street, designed with great panache, housing a reading room and an archive room, rooms for catalogs, periodicals, a warehouse for out-of-print books, and a large library room with cimelia, richly furnished with glazed cabinets of books, paintings and art objects. Przezdziecki was a benefactor not only of the Jagiellonian Library, but also of the Archives of Ancient Records in Cracow and the Archaeological Cabinet of the Jagiellonian University" (Podniesińska).
