Kyiv-Pechersky Pateryk (original Києво-Печерський патерик), full title: Kyiv-Pechersky Pateryk, or stories about the holy fathers in the Kyiv caverns - a monument of Old Russian literature, a collection of stories about the monks of the Kyiv-Pechersky Monastery, later the Lavra. One of the most original works of Ruthenian hagiographic literature. Its basis consists of texts written down by Simon, Bishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, and Polycarp, a monk of Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery, supplemented over the centuries by more biographies of the monks.
