E.XIV, 442. Two bound-together volumes of the Polish translation of a work by Jean Crasset of Dieppe (1618–1692), a French Jesuit, theologian, thinker, and author of ascetic works. It is a handbook on the spiritual life, containing meditations on the teachings of the Gospel, arranged according to the liturgical year. The sections offered cover the period from the first Sunday after Pentecost (Trinity Sunday) to the week following the twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost. The author combines commentaries on the Scripture readings with practical guidance on how to apply Christ’s teachings in daily life. The spine is intact. The leather has some scuffs and cracks, and there is some soiling; otherwise, the book is in good condition. Rare.
