Bach/Busoni - Orgel-Choral-Vorspiele (solo piano), 1898 (notes).
A collection of transcriptions of J.S. Bach's organ chorales for solo piano, arranged by Ferruccio Busoni, one of the greatest pianists and arrangers of the era. These compositions, originally written for organ, have been transformed while preserving Bach's spiritual and structural depth, but enriched by Busoni's romantic idiom. The arrangements require high technical skill and interpretive maturity - they combine polyphonic clarity with the expressiveness inherent in late Romanticism.
Used notes, paper slightly yellowed, minor signs of use in places.
