The okimono figurine is made entirely of ivory. It depicts the figure of a fisherman dressed in a Japanese robe. On his right shoulder the fisherman holds a stick, on either side of which fish hang on strings (unfortunately the fish carrier is somewhat damaged). In his left hand, the figure holds a basket and several fish on strings. The fisherman has a distinctive Japanese hairstyle. The figurine is made with extreme precision and meticulous attention to detail.
The presented object is a work of art created at the beginning of the 20th century (before 1945) and is not subject to the ban on trade (legal basis: Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 of December 9, 1996 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein).
The figurine has a certificate confirming the authenticity of the object.
