This canvas represents a biblical episode taken from the Old Testament book of Tobias, in which it is told how Tobiolo, returning from a long initiatory journey accompanied by the angel Raphael and a dog, restored sight to his blind father. In the scene, the figure of the old father sits on a bench with his eyes closed, attended by the young Tobiolo and the angel (on the left), whose open wings can be glimpsed. The scene is built around the gestural dynamic of healing: Tobias points to his father with one hand and holds the bowl with which he will anoint his father's eyes with the gall of the fish he caught during the journey. The chromatic vivacity and movement of the bodies, intertwined, superimposed and interacting, create dynamism; and at the same time, an almost unicum standout in this work., Oil on canvas, 86 x 116 cm
