I was born in 1975. I have been working with sculpture since 1998. I consider myself self-taught, although my work has been largely shaped by the influence of educator and sculptor Jacek Kozlowski. Meeting him deserves to be called the "moment" of my life.
In my work, I try to portray delicacy, ephemerality, ethereality and movement. Perhaps that is why many of my sculptures are disproportionately elongated - this makes them seemingly light, barely touching the ground. I try to avoid limiting myself to one style of figure shaping. I like to experiment with proportions and look for more and more ways to deform reality.
I believe that every sculpture should tell a story. First the subject comes up, and then I find the right form for it. I believe that this is partly due to the fact that I am a graduate of the Academy of Special Education.
I work with art galleries in Warsaw, Copenhagen, Bryrup (Denmark), Arnhem (Netherlands) and Malmö (Sweden).
