In art there are no eternal truths and binding views, in art there are only sacred
obsessions...and the uncompromising necessity to express them.
The distinguishing feature of Anna Pazdalskaya's work is her ability to distance herself from both the
insistence of trends and fashions in art, as well as from the pressure of patterns and schemes flowing from the widely understood
understood tradition. It is this constructive distance, rather than contestation, that has resulted in a
Anna's fundamental understanding of the essence of sculpture and the specificity of the language of means of expression. It contributed to
crystallization of her own very apt and convincing definition of its adequate,
modern sense. Understanding the situation in which art found itself during the
postmodern crossroads, devoid of organizing elements, stable points of
of reference points and criteria, Anna Pazdalska focused on the value of individual talent, intuition,
freedom and the right to self-determination.
