A unique art object by Jiří Kolář (1914-2002), created using the collage technique. The letterbox is completely plastered with text and supplemented with distinctive visual elements, which include iconic eye motifs and photo fragments. On the lid are three collage compositions, one of which is signed "JK 94." The reverse side is provided with a geometric collage with elements inspired by Mondrian, typical of Kolář's experimental approaches.Jiří Kolář, one of the most important Czech artists of the 20th century, became famous for his innovative use of text in the picture and experiments with collage, rollage and muchlaží. This box represents an important example of his conceptual work with visual and literary material.
