Figural group, mythological: figure of Greek hero Perseus - son of Zeus and Danae - and a half-naked girl cuddling with him - Andromeda, Ethiopian princess, daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, rescued from the onslaught of the sea monster Ketos, sent by Poseidon. The hero wore the helmet of Hades - a magical invisibility cap with wings and a sword in his hand. As a reward for his deed, he received the hand of Andromeda.
Signed at bottom: "E. PICAULT"; on the other side the name of the foundry: "E Godeau, Fondeur".
Base of light brown marble with beige veining.
