WINTER FOREST IN THE MORNING LIGHT
Oil on canvas.
80 x 120 cm.
Signed "W. Moras." lower right.

Atmospheric depiction of a snow-covered forest lying in the first rays of the dawning sun, partly reflected in an idyllic meandering stream. High-quality painting in the typical manner of the well-known artist.
Annotation:
He received his training in the studio of the marine and landscape painter Hermann Eschke. In 1876 he exhibited for the first time at the exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin. Until 1910, he was almost constantly represented at the major Berlin art exhibitions. He was one of the nature-oriented landscape painters whose work coincided with the heyday of open-air painting. He also created large-format winter landscapes that are very carefully composed and show particularly subtle tones in the snow, such as the present painting. (1410621) (18)
