The work impresses with its strong realism, bright colors and diverse fruits of nature. This form of design was developed under the influence of Caravaggio, in Rome at the important academy of Giovanni Battista Cresenzi and continued into the late Baroque. From this influence emerged outstanding students such as Pietro Paolini Bonzi, Agostino Verroccio, Tomaso Salini and others. The painting also has the odd theme of the garland combined with the satyr. This form of design is very rare and makes this image a unique artistic idea! It can also be assumed that two artists worked on this painting here. The satyr could have come from a Neapolitan painter who happened to be in Rome and was so fascinated by the still-life painters there that he created such a cheerful and magnificent ensemble.
