Pasted on the back is a 1938 certificate of authenticity issued by Dr. Stanislaw Swierz-Zaleski, curator of the State Art Collections at Wawel, in which he describes that this painting was painted during a trip the artist took with Karol hr. Lanckoroński and Prof. Marian Sokołowski to the Middle East in 1884.
