Literature: Ivanauskas-Cesnulis 5SA9-5 (RRR), Kopicki 3284 (R5), Tyszkiewicz 12 mk
Very rare in any state of preservation, the first type of Tykocin pennies.
Coin characterized by the presence of the Jastrzębiec (Stanislaw Myszkowski) coat of arms next to the royal monogram on the reverse.
Good legibility of details, porous background.
Tyszkiewicz values it at 12 marks in gold, or as much as:
- 2 Bydgoszcz thalers of Sigismund III from 1627-31 (6 mk each)
- more than 2 thalers 1766 "armorers" (5 mk each)
- 3 thalers 1788 (4 mk each).
