A very rare type of brakteat with mysterious iconography.
The coin depicts a dome on a horizontal strip filled with a hatching (or imitation of an inscription), under an arch of pearls followed by additional lines. The lines in the rim, are also interpreted as an inscription. This enigmatic motif is sometimes interpreted as a rainbow. Another, broader interpretation ("radiating light") can be read in Witold Garbaczewski's "Iconography of Piast Coins".
