A bronze coin of the city of Skepsis, dating to approximately 400–300 BC, representing a local minting issue of the Troad in the late Classical period.
Skepsis, situated in the region of Mount Ida, was among the cities mentioned in ancient tradition (including Strabo). Its significance within the Greek world is confirmed by both literary sources and archaeological evidence. In the 4th century BC, the polis produced its own bronze coinage, operating within the framework of the autonomous monetary systems of the cities of north-western Asia Minor.
