Signed, dated, and inscribed in pencil on the soundbox: 'Jakub Kubickii, Zakopane, 2014'
The instrument was made by Jakub T. Kubicki. It is an early work from his apprenticeship in the workshop of Master Jerzy Niton (1963–2015).
The violin is characterized by a bright, open, and loud tone. It is well-balanced, making it suitable for chamber music or playing in small ensembles and orchestras.
This violin is one of the last instruments built under the guidance of Jerzy Niton before his tragic death in 2015.
The instrument comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by the maker, along with a full technical description.
Biography
Jakub Kubicki graduated from the Antoni Kenar State High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane, earning a degree in fine arts with a specialization in artistic violin making. He then continued his education at the Department of Artistic Violin Making at the Academy of Music in Poznań.

He also translates literature on violin making from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. He is a musician with the band “Nieład,” active on Warsaw’s alternative and jazz scenes, and runs the “Salon Ciekawych Instrumentów” violin-making workshop in Warsaw.
