An artist associated with the Cracow Group and Tadeusz Kantor's theater, his compositions depicted his fascination with abstraction and surrealist painting. Brzozowski's membership in the international art group Phases was confirmation of these interests. He began with figurative painting, which he "enlivened" with introduced distortions of people or objects. Extremely expressive, unreal shapes built metaphorical compositions, sometimes characterized by grotesque or irony. A characteristic feature of Brzozowski's paintings is also color intensity, boldly exposing color and making it one of the main tools of painterly expression. An example of this is the work "Curator", which comes from the mature period of his work. The fiery reds, yellows and oranges combined with the irregular, abstract form perfectly reflect the character of the artist's work.
