Stanisław Gibiński studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. A great influence on his work was Julian Fałat and Leon Wyczółkowski. The artist painted mainly watercolors on hunting themes, genre scenes, landscapes. He was interested in folklore, especially Hutsul. He took great care in the resulting works.
