Marek Działek is a contemporary artist living in Poland. From an early age he was involved in painting and drawing which led him to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (Master of Fine Arts degree in the studio of Prof. Stanislaw Radwanski and Intermedia specialization in the studio of Prof. Witoslaw Czerwonka). At the university he developed his experience and created in many fields from graphics and painting to sculpture, not closing himself in one form of expression. He believes that the most interesting things often happen at the intersection of seemingly distant fields. In 2011, he was invited to the Incubator program organized by CCA Laznia in Gdansk. In 2017, he received the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Co-founder of the Artistic Workshop Foundation, which deals with wide-ranging cultural activities aimed at promoting culture, art and artistic education of the society. Cultural animator, organizer of many exhibitions, concerts and lectures promoting art. Involved in many cultural initiatives such as the Open Flats Festival, the Art Studio Inventory, and the Hidden Museum. His works have been presented in many group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad, and have appeared in many art and design publications.
