Jarek MANKIEWICZ (1980)
Painter and printmaker, graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, earning a diploma in printmaking in Prof. Artur Popek's Concave Print Studio. He creates paintings in acrylic technique with the addition of laser medium, focusing on geometric abstraction inspired by architecture and typography. He combines real shapes into abstract forms, creating complex patterns in which precise geometry is juxtaposed with natural imperfections. His works are characterized by modularity, which allows him to create a series of paintings that can be freely assembled into larger compositions. He has been living and working in Portugal for several years, where he regularly participates in the P'LA ARTE art fair in Lisbon and exhibitions in Poland and Portugal.
