Barbara Nachajska-Brożek born January 22, 1942 in Brzeszcze. Graduate of the State High School of Visual Arts in Bielsko-Biała. Studied at the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Lodz at the Faculty of Textile. In 1968, she received a diploma in the Artistic Weaving Studio under the direction of Professor Antoni Starczewski. The domain of her creative expression is fiber art in the broadest sense. She creates her works using the method of traditional tapestry and jacquard, which are distinguished by their perfect execution. She also uses her own techniques, i.e. fabrics made with crochet, knitting or stitched from different elements and combined from various raw materials: natural and artificial fibers, sisal, wood and metal. Departing from traditional techniques has allowed her to experiment with texture and composition. She draws inspiration from the world around her, especially from her travels.
