Hard-edge style is created by painters using large, simple patches of color painted on a flat surface. The paintings are precise, with sharp contours and large areas of intense, unmodulated colors. This is how Alicja Juno paints in a series of abstract paintings.
What distinguishes Alicja Juno in her applied aesthetics is the use of not only sharp edges, but also unambiguously painted lines. In this way she has created a unique style. The artist strives for order in the forms and colors used in the painting. She often limits the color range. What distinguishes her work is the texture of the lines. As the only element in a painting, they are spacious. She paints with bold, usually uniform patches of color separated by definite sharp edges. The chromatic surface of the entire painting is very precise. In the painting, except for the lines, there are no incidents or random forms. The effect is simple and clear in its form.
