Andrew Dabek, Where the Sky Listens

Oil on canvas, 21x30 cm

Enjoy the rustic serenity that emanates from this idyllic scene, where a solitary figure, steadfast and steadfast, maintains a timeless bond with her faithful mount. The artist weaves a tapestry of earthy rust tones and lush greens, juxtaposed against the vastness of a calm blue sky. The composition exudes tranquility and yet vivid energy, as if the earth and sky were whispering to each other in silent conversation. The broad, expressive brushstrokes capture the fleeting moment, alluding to the Impressionist drive to capture impermanence. The scene invites one to reflect on the harmonious dance of man and nature - an eloquent tribute to rural life, steeped in gentle humor and natural grace.

STUDIO OF DESIGN

Andrzej Dabek is an artist whose creative activities are centered around Judaic culture. Fascinated by the Bible, he draws from its contents, transporting himself and us to another dimension. This is what he says about himself:

My mountain of visions and enchantments was born from the space of the Living Word. Memory intertwined with imagination, whispering: Go higher and higher, to the source of inspiration. The imagery of the expectations of the prophets, full of comparisons and references, encouraged me to make an artistic commentary. Perhaps it will become a path leading to a treasure trove of understanding of God's plan for us?
Andrzej Dabek was born in 1956 in Cracow where he still lives and works. He graduated from the High School of Fine Arts and then studied art education at the Academy of Fine Arts under the direction of Stanislaw Rodziński and Stanislaw Batruch, among others. The artist's works are distinguished by thematic homogeneity with simultaneous variety of techniques used: oil painting, watercolor, pastels, drawings, collages.

Andrzej Dabek has had numerous exhibitions, including: at the Isaac Synagogue in Cracow, the Synagogue in Leczna, the headquarters of the Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Czestochowa, the Białoprądnicki Manor House, the Museum in Chrzanów.
