A very nice, near-circulated example of this issue.
Florins are among the most common Austrian coins of the 19th century and are very popular among collectors. These coins are easy to find in circulated condition, but are increasingly rare in mint condition on the market.
This coin was also part of the monetary system of Galicia and Lodomeria.
The Galician-Lodomerian title is inscribed in the circumferential legend on the reverse.
Obverse: the Emperor’s head in a laurel wreath, facing right; the legend in the rim reads:
FRANC•IOS•I•D•G•AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR;
Reverse: the imperial eagle; the legend in the rim reads:
HVNGAR•BOHEM•GAL•-1 FL-LOD•ILL•REX A•A•1892;
