Biography
He studied drawing and painting as early as his junior high school years. He continued his studies at the Warsaw School of Decorative Arts and Painting under the direction of E. Butrymowicz. In 1941-42 he studied in Moscow. He designed posters and painted war-themed paintings. After returning to Poland in 1950-52 he was a professor at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. In the following years he devoted himself entirely to painting. He traveled extensively to Italy, France and the United States, among others - landscapes and vedutas from many of the cities he visited were created then.
