Born in 1984, graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Institute of Visual Arts, University of Zielona Gora. He defended his master's degree in 2010. He describes his works himself as Progressive Realism. The subject of his paintings is a human being, usually depicted in the nude, sometimes partially covered with draped fabric. The figures are anonymous, turning their faces away, appearing to the viewer from behind, halfway. In his works, the artist limits the range of colors. Subdued, dark colors contrast with the hue of the human body, presented with almost anatomical accuracy, without idealization, in the tradition of the classically understood nude. Lukasz Towpik's works are clearly inspired by ancient art, supplemented by unreal or indefinite space. These are paintings in which eroticism is combined with mysticism, spirituality, and the artist strives to show deeper symbolism.
