The artist lives and works in Gdańsk. In June 2025, she completed her master’s degree at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She defended her thesis in the Second Painting Studio under the supervision of Prof. Krzysztof Polkowski, Ph.D.
Tlałka’s work centers on surrealist aesthetics. She draws inspiration from personal experiences, reflections on everyday life, dreams, and psychological and emotional states. A recurring motif in her paintings is the eye—a symbol of observation and the intensity of experience, functioning on both formal and symbolic levels. Horror literature, particularly the works of H.P. Lovecraft, is a significant source of inspiration for her. Her works feature elements of mystery and unease, balancing between beauty and fear, dream and reality. Through her paintings, the artist attempts to capture emotions that are difficult to define unequivocally, leaving room for the viewer’s individual interpretation.
