August III of Saxony, 1756 EC, Leipzig – “
” variant . On the obverse, a crowned bust in right-facing profile.
On the reverse, a crowned coat-of-arms shield. Below the shield, the denomination VI and the initials E–C (Ernest Dietrich Croll—Master of the Leipzig Mint).
The bust is wider, with a smooth ribbon of the Order of the Golden Fleece.
The crown fields on the obverse and reverse are ribbed, with pendants in the central fields on the obverse.
The clasp is oval.
The arrangement of the leaves on the reverse differs from that of the previous lot.

An under-struck but very nicely preserved coin.
