Jan Młodożeniec (Warsaw 1929 - Warsaw 2000) - graphic designer and painter, author of posters, book covers, illustrations, drawings. From 1948 to 1955, he studied graphic design and poster art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski, from whom he graduated. He worked as a graphic designer with Centrala Wynajmu Filmów, Polfilm, Biuro Wydawnicze "Ruch", WAG, KAW, many theaters in Warsaw, publishing houses Czytelnik, Iskry, PIW, WAiF, Wydawnictwo Literackie and magazines: "Nowa Kultura", "Współczesność", "Ekran", "Film", "Miesięcznik Literacki", "Polska", "Szpilki". Jan Młodożeniec was primarily a graphic designer, after graduating he took up posters, which became for him the main form of artistic expression. Among the most important in his oeuvre were movie posters (including "Once upon a time in America," "The Godfather," "The Great Gatsby"), theater posters (including those for plays by Chekhov, Fredro, Wyspianski) and advertising posters. His first poster was from 1951 and was an image for the historical film "Prague 1848." Since the mid-1950s, Mlodozeniec has become one of the most respected artists of posters and book graphics.
