The author's account of two months spent in Italy in late 1879 and early 1880. The author recounts his experiences and observations of daily life in Italy, including customs, traditions and religion. He also describes the cities he visited, such as Rome, Florence and Venice, as well as the monuments and works of art he saw there. The book offers a fascinating insight into late 19th century Italy.
