Zygmunt Józefczyk (1881–1966)—Polish painter and draftsman born in Kraków. In 1909–1910, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in Leon Wyczółkowski’s studio; he also studied at Jagiellonian University. He exhibited, among other places, at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the TPSP in Kraków, and the Artist’s House. From 1933 onward, he was a member of the Association of Polish Fine Artists. He painted landscapes and genre scenes, with a particular fondness for depicting horses. His works are held, among other places, in the collections of the National Museum in Kraków and the National Museum in Warsaw.
