[SANGUSZKOS]. Ex-Libris Podhorce.
Intaglio print on sheet 8.1x6.6 cm, on ribbed paper. Heraldic composition from the 2nd half of the 19th century with a signature in the lower right corner: "AGRY, GR-r" of the Agra printing works of Paris. In the center of the composition, on a heraldic mantle lined with ermine, the family coat of arms of Prince Roman Sanguszko (Lithuanian Pony under the Sanguszko family crown). Very good condition.
Library in Podhorce - collected and stored in the Sanguszko Renaissance castle in Podolia; rich collections of works of art and historical memorabilia left behind by Waclaw Rzewuski. "He also established a local bibljotek (about 6,000 volumes) consisting mainly of works on military art" (E. Chwalewik "Polish Collections", War. 1927, vol. 2, p. 68). During the years of World War I, the collection in Podhorce was severely depleted, part of it was transported to Gumniska.
