OSIŃSKI Ludwik (1775-1838),
long-time director and owner of the National Theater in Warsaw, son-in-law of Wojciech Boguslawski, professor at the University of Warsaw, writer. Letter to his brother, Prof. Alojzy Osinski (1779-1842) later rector of the Academy in Vilnius. B.m. (Warsaw?) March 12, 1828. two pages, format: 18 x 13 cm .
Good condition. Text in Polish. Autograph handwriting. This letter written to his brother in Vilna was supposed to have been given by Zienowicz, husband of the daughter of the famous Wojciech Boguslawski. Most information about Boguslawski's adult children mentions only one daughter Rozalia, but one source states "Amelia-Zofia." Osinski had sold the National Theater building to the government a year earlier, but in this letter he writes that he is not happy after the "acute business" after "theater directorship." The author must have had enemies , because despite his high positions in the past, he could not return to public service because he has "obstacles for reasons he does not understand."
