"Candidates" is a painting from a series of paintings about groups. Here he shows people who are not innocent, people who follow common patterns, a group that heralds a disturbing future.
Giving the characters a new shape, especially with the help of masks, resembles bringing the Golem to life- anew, differently. I would like to point out that we have common Golems in our memory, which come from a difficult common past. What happens when we all forget them? I am looking to answer the question of what constitutes our "true", authentic self-image.
BIOGRAM:
Tatsiana Kandratsenka (1980).
1998-2004 - Belarus State Academy of Arts (department of easel paintings).
2008-2011 - Postgraduate studies at BSAI. (theory and history of art)
Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists since 2012
Works are in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Fine Arts (Minsk, Belarus), Art Museum in Deruta, Italy, in private collections in Belarus, Poland, Germany, Italy.
2002 - Internship at the Romano Ranieri School of Experimental Ceramics, Deruta, Italy.
