Painter, sculptor, stage designer, poster designer. He has had over 250 solo exhibitions and over 100 group exhibitions in Poland, Germany, France, Belgium and the USA, among others. He is the creator of posters for, among others, the film "Edi" or "My Nikifor." He has participated in many artistic happenings and theatrical performances. He has won many awards and prizes. He is the founder of the art group "Pławna 9". Creator of the Castle of Silesian Legends, Noah's Ark, Museum of Displaced Persons. A tireless animator of culture. About the artist was created, among others, a documentary film by Andrzej B. Czulda's "Pinning in the Moon." His works are in private and state collections in the country and abroad.
The main field of Dariusz Milinski's artistic activity is oil painting. Partly fairy-tale-like in style, his paintings, reminiscent of the works of Bosch or Breugel, refer to the realities and problems of the surrounding world, as well as unchanging, universal truths about ourselves. In the paintings it is often possible to recognize people from the artist's closest circle and friends woven into the painted worlds created by the artist.
The painting Enchanted shows a girl sitting on a pig, which emphasizes her rural background. The girl is enchanted by literature and immerses herself in it completely. The artist breaks stereotypes about the countryside and its inhabitants, and points out that the inner need to commune with art is natural and independent of origin. A building in the distance, suggesting a museum object, is something distant that from the heroine's perspective is not worth paying attention to because it is physically inaccessible.
