The banknote is in visually beautiful condition, though it has been restored.
Like other banknotes from 1946–1947 with a denomination of more than 50 złotych, this piece featured socialist realist motifs depicting workers and peasants.
The banknote was designed by Wacław Borowski; the watermark consists of stylized letters “W” alternating between lighter and darker shades.
The banknote was put into circulation on December 1, 1948; it was printed by PWPW, and the National Bank of Poland (NBP) was responsible for its issuance.
