Péter Borkovics

Graduated from the High School of Arts in Budapest, 1990.

Diploma from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest, 1996.

Doctoral studies at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME), Budapest, 2001-2003.

Since 1997, has been teaching in the glass studio at the High School of Fine Arts in Budapest.

Scholarships: Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, 1994; Lajos Kozma, 1998; Erasmus at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, 2002.

Numerous awards and prizes, including: first prize in the Artemis competition for the design of a lamp, organized by the VAM Gallery, Budapest, 1993. second prize, Artrevue 93, Budapest; Prize of the Minister of Culture and Education for a glass with a finger in the Hungarian Design Competition, Hungary, 2002; Noemi Ferenczy Prize, Hungary, 2004.

Participation in more than 60 national and international exhibitions.

Works in museum collections, including the Museum of Applied Art in Budapest, the Bárdudvarnok Glass Collection (Mária Goszthony Foundation), the Rippl-Rónai Museum, Kaposvar and the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest.
