A beautifully crafted fancy-shaped dustpan in the Art Nouveau style, designed for cleaning crumbs from the table. Decorated with floral motifs and a pattern of decorative ribbon, with a decorative handle. Silver-plated. France, late 19th c. On the bottom the manufacturer's punch "V S" separated by the motif of a 3-masted ship (Victor Saglier - French goldsmith and craftsman, known for his beautiful Art Nouveau objects, part of the "Ecole de Nancy"). Good condition, minor signs of age.
