Korytkowska Katarzyna - Studied art at the Higher School of Pedagogy in Częstochowa, being a scholarship holder throughout her studies. She received a diploma in painting with distinction in 2004 from the studio of Professor Wincenty Maszkowski. She is appreciated primarily for the colors of her paintings. For her, painting is an attempt to sift through a sieve what is most important and fascinating to her - it's all about the concept of painting expression. Initially she moved within a narrow color scale. Nowadays, she increasingly uses a stronger color contrast, still keeping in mind the common tonality and color denominator and the picture plane. She tries to show light and convert light into colors in her works, and the source of light in her works is not entirely clear - here she leaves room for the viewer. Her works are in many private collections in Poland and abroad.
