Anna KANDLER (b. 1962), Toward the Sun, 2026

Born in 1962 in Warsaw. From 1982 to 1987, she studied at the Department of Painting, Graphic Arts, and Sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She received her diploma in easel painting in 1987 from the studio of Prof. Konrad Jarodzki and in painting in architecture and urban planning under the supervision of Prof. Mieczysław Zdanowicz.

Since 1995, she has lived and worked in Austria and Warsaw. She focuses primarily on creating works on paper, using collage and monotype techniques. She works with acrylics, watercolors, gouache, ink, and colored pencils. Her experiments with color and form result in multicolored, abstract compositions in a small-scale format.

Her works have been presented at solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
