One of California's iconic cabernet sauvignon, according to many critics even pointed out as the best of them.
Ridge Vineyards is one of the most important wineries in California and, according to many authorities, is even the best address for the cabernet sauvignon varietal in the state. It was a participant in the famous Paris Tasting of 1976 and the winner of a re-tasting held 30 years later. The most important winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains region, run over the decades by the famous winemaker, Paul Draper.
The 2019 vintage of their most important wine is the product of a balanced, quiet ripening period, allowing the winemaker to work the grapes with ease and precise vinification. It is an elegant wine, rich in aromas of forest fruits, rose petals, roasted herbs, tobacco, vanilla and cedar wood. Intense but unobtrusive, smooth but by no means lacking in energy. European grace with a truly Californian heart. That's just the way this Ridge is.
