Chateau Quintus is the latest addition to Domaine Clarence Dillon's impressive portfolio. It aims to showcase the unique character of the St-Emilion appellation. Wines are created here with great care and using all the experience of the owners, who also manage the famous chateaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. The owners' ambitions are sure to take Quintus to the group of the appellation's top producers.
2014 is a vintage of a great spring and a beautiful autumn with difficult summer months. The cold and rains in July and August thankfully gave way to beautiful weather in September, which largely saved this vintage.
The 2014 Quintus is a wine of medium body, high energy and pronounced tannins. Lots of coolness and elegance. Herbs, spices and minerality alongside well-ripe forest fruits.
69% merlot, 31% cabernet franc.
