The blade is straight, double-edged, made of steel, with two longitudinal grooves on the sides. The surface of the blade shows signs of age and oxidation. The hilt is all-brass, richly decorated. The handle is spirally shaped and ends with a spherical head. The crossbar of the canopy is straight with decoratively shaped ends. The patronage is completed by a large decorative circular element with a plastically decorated motif of a railway wheel surrounded by ornaments. The scabbard is a combination of leather and metal elements. The leather sheath of the scabbard is black, with brass fittings that bear relief ornamentation, including the typical wave motifs and a cog wheel, symbolizing the railway. The scabbard is equipped with a suspension ring for attaching to a belt.
